An extremely important and rare 4 ¼’’ Hardy Brass Faced Perfect fly reel with domed ivorine handle, pierced alloy cage, foot and bridge pillar, strapped rim tension screw with Turk’s head locking screw and early check mechanism, drum with 14 cusps and large and small perforations, central nickel silver retaining screw, faceplate stamped Rod in Hand trade mark, oval and straight line logos,  circa 1895.
