An extremely rare Hardy’s unique combination of priest and balance to weigh 40 lb. by ½, has  a metal cover, which is screwed off when about to weigh a fish, cover is weighted at the end, makes an excellent priest   circa 1908 (top);  Extremely   rare Hardy’s combined gaff and balance,  length 15 ¾ ‘’ to 35’’, the cap to be unscrewed to bring the balance (which weighs up to 40 lb. by half pounds) into operation, circa 1905 (bottom).
